latest goings on

A lot's been going on lately...so here's a brief update for anyone who cares:
1. Macee has two loose teeth...she was very, very excited about that
2. Sara is done with all IEP's and Alternate assesments(which she got outstanding marks on...woooohoooooo)
3. The band has had a few more opportunities to play out and that's a good thing
4. School is almost out...wooooooohoooooooo
5. Those 2 songs we were waiting on didn't quite turn out like we'd hoped
6. Next week we'll be getting the cd's in from production...10 song lp for $5
7. Just played the relay for life last night at 12:00am...wow it got cold...
8. We're playing Rick's again next Friday May 25th at 8:00pm so come out and see us...it's in northwood in the plaza out front of the woodville mall.
9. One of the guys at the transition houses, Aaron, started his own handiman/construction business last month...it's a beautiful thing to see.
10. Our faith community went out the other week and picked up a bunch of stuff for the folks at the houses and we can't wait to get back up there to deliver it. We love our new friends...
11. Softball has begun and is in full swing...Sunday night mens and Monday night coed...it's fun and there are plenty of people that need to experience Jesus' love.
12. Sara and I had our 11 year anniversary earlier this month...it's been a wild ride and an incredible journey...we are both different people now than we were then...it has been and is a beautiful life.

Here is a new song I've been writing these past few weeks...thinking a lot about Matthew 25:

Beautiful Life
It's food for the hungry
It's water for the thirsty
It's a home for the homeless
and it's rest for the weary

It's a beautiful life, and it's all around
A beautiful life, is where he'll be found

It's shelter for the stranger
It's caring for the sick
It's clothing for the naked
and it's justice for the weak

It's a visit for the prisoner
It's rescue for the stranded
It's a haven for the abused
and it's hope for the abandoned

When will our faith grow feet
When will our actions speak
Of this change inside
A light we cannot hide
